Every author’s dream is to have a stack of books that bear their name, and one can only hope
that this stack of books is not on the 3 for $.99 table of their favorite book store.”
                                                                                                           --K.D. Graham

K.D. has over 23 years of writing experience.  At an early age, K.D. realized she enjoyed
creative writing, oratorical competitions and making people laugh.  After obtaining a degree in
Journalism at the University of Georgia, followed by a Masters in Public Administration, K.D.
discovered that her love for creative writing grew even stronger, pulling her into a world
plagued by short manuscript-filled notebooks, poetry on notepads by nightstands and e-mails
far too long and descriptive to be passed off as actual work.

K.D. is an award-winning writer and editor, garnering first place awards in national
competitions for her work in Public Relations.  K.D. enjoys her day job in Corporate
Communications; however, her dream of published children's books, magazine articles and a
few novels wouldn't bother her too much.

K.D.'s love of writing is only rivaled by her love of cooking and hosting friends and family.  If
life could be filled with endless dinner parties, interesting guests and thought-provoking
conversation, K.D. would consider herself in a little slice of heaven on earth.

A Georgia native, K.D. enjoys the serenity of beaches, sprawling mountains and the fast pace
of urban life.  She believes Georgia offers all of these things within  short driving distances of
each other.  Making time to take care of mind, body and spirit, K.D. finds these escapes the
perfect backdrop to stimulate the creative process.

When ocean breezes and crisp mountain air aren't readily available, there's always the comfort
of a living room, some snacks and fellow Book Bound members.  Considering herself both
blessed and fortunate to be part of the Book Bound Writers and Illustrators critique group (she
was the last to join before membership closed), K.D. is grateful for the friendship, inspiration
and honesty of her cohorts.

K.D. is also a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, Public
Relations Society of America, International Association of Business Communicators, Atlanta
Association of Journalists, Cooperative Communicators Association, Georgia Marketing and
Member Services Association, and a board member of the Girl Scouts of Northeast Georgia.
Her favorite hobbies include but aren't limited to cooking, hiking, playing piano, traveling,
dancing and decorating.
