Denise is the author of “What Kind of Ball Is It?” published in Ladybug, a monthly children's
magazine by Cricket Magazine Group for ages 2 to 6.  It allows readers to guess what kind of ball
is being played with based on color, shape and use.

Denise’s other pieces, “The Three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, What ‘CAN’ You Do to Help
Save the Planet?” and “Sunflowered Banana Snack,” have been acquired by Hopscotch for Girls,
a bi-monthly magazine just for girls ages 6 to 12, for future publication.

In addition to her writing endeavors, Denise substitute teaches, volunteers as a PTA Environmental
Education Committee Chair, and leads a student Green Team.  She is an active member of the
Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and attends and volunteers at
SCBWI - Southern Breeze region conferences regularly.  She is also her writing group’s website
designer and administrator.

A native of the “Garden State” of New Jersey, Denise lives north of Atlanta with her husband,
Gary and their two daughters.  She enjoys the company of family, friends and her fellow writers,
who provide her with the encouragement and inspiration to write, in her spare time.

Denise’s genres include picture books in prose fiction and rhyme, early chapter books and easy
readers.
