History:   The group's founding meeting was December 10, 1998.  The group, originally known
as Buford Children's Writers/Illustrators Critique Group, was founded by Gale Johnson-Whigham.
From January 1999 to 2000, Paula Puckett led the group as the Buford Critters.  In 2001, Donna
Bowman became the group's leader.  In 2004, by unanimous vote, the group became known as
Book Bound Writers and Illustrators Group.

We meet the second Wednesday of each month at  6:30 to  8:30 p.m.  Our group is
currently closed to new members.  Critique Groups & Services.

Each meeting begins with a show and tell.  Hopefully everyone will have something
to share.

Occasionally we may go on field trips or have the meeting somewhere unusual.

We have suggested, not mandatory, monthly assignments.  They're designed to
sharpen the skills and knowledge base of our craft.  They've helped spawn and fine
tune many stories.

We also have suggested monthly picture book reviews.  This enables us to learn
from other successful authors and illustrators.

The main focus of the group is to critique each others' work, and learn from each
other.  Each of us have different points of view:  all are valuable. If a group member
is not able to participate in three or more "critiques", they may be considered an
"inactive" member.  Active Members.

We want to sell publishers quality books for growing, learning, curious children.

We also want to have FUN!  Photos.
"Be willing to throw away anything.  The permission to blithely make horrible mistakes is the
one best guarantee that you won't stifle your own imagination out of fear that it will
embarrass you.  Few people fail by risking to much."
